I am a quadriplegic in Enfield, CT looking for help to raise money to purchase of pressure relieving air mattress for my bed. *All donations can be mailed or dropped off at address listed in the description below. Thank you!

Description:

   For those of you who know me, and those of you who don't, I was in a pretty serious car accident about 8 1/2 years ago that left me paralyzed from the chest down. I have been in and out of the hospital for the past couple years for several different procedures and am in need for a special pressure relieving mattress to prevent bed sores and skin breakdown. Now I am on state insurance and Social Security disability, but they will not pay for one for me because of a bedding product I got about a year and a half ago that simply does not work for me to do the job that is needed. Unfortunately this mattress costs too much money that I just simply do not have to afford it myself.

So now what I was wondering/hoping for, is that if I could set up a fund raiser for myself to collect monetary donations to help assist me in purchasing this product. I do not have any specific date or time for a physical gathering, but if I can simply have donations (check, cash or money order) sent to me or dropped off to the address listed, I would greatly appreciate any help that I can receive! I am sorry for those of you who think that I am being selfish, but I am just kindly asking for a little bit of help/assistance. My thanks and appreciation goes out to everyone that is willing to help out a little bit. This event will remain open until the money needed is raised.
